Cliff Sheldon is First Vice President of Community Development  and will be developing and servicing banking relationships.  He is excited to be back in downtown Ann Arbor where he started his banking career in 1966 with Ann Arbor Bank.  Following several name changes, he left National City and joined Ann Arbor Commerce Bank in 1998, retiring from that organization as Executive Vice President in early 2009.  He found the opportunity to join the dedicated and professional team at Ann Arbor State Bank enticing and came out of retirement. Cliff believes in a partnership between the bank and its customers, and has a reputation for delivering excellent customer service.

Cliff has been involved in the community since joining the Ann Arbor Jaycees.  He has served on the Ann Arbor City Council, Chair of the Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross, President of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation and on the boards of the New Enterprise Forum, Ronald McDonald House and Performance Network, among others.  He is currently Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor and a SCORE Counselor.

Cliff has an undergraduate degree from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. His wife Ingrid is a “townie” and they live in Ann Arbor.
