Tim Berry

"I have worked in a wide spectrum of retail and financial services, large and small, and I’m convinced that community focused banking will continue to succeed and multiply as today’s technology can be delivered by everyone. The true difference is the relationships I build with my clients, when I can go to sleep at night knowing I’ve done my job and delivered the best."

Ann Arbor State Bank Branch Manager Tim brings more than 25 years of retail and 12 years of branch management experience to his position.

Growing up in Michigan and working in the Southeast Michigan market for several large national banks, Tim has a true appreciation for the opportunities and needs of today’s banking customer. Whether it’s a personal or small business need, Tim’s level of service parallels Ann Arbor State Bank’s core philosophy of true relationship banking. Putting the customer first, above all else, is what drew him to Michigan’s newest bank.

At First of America Bank, now National City, Tim developed lending programs to meet the needs of a fiscally challenged area of greater Detroit, bringing development to a community that was severely depressed. As an Assistant Vice President for Standard Federal Bank, LaSalle Bank, and Bank of America, he managed one of the largest offices in Michigan, specializing in serving small- to mid-sized businesses and building personal relationships with thousands of clients.

A former President of the Washtenaw Referral Network and currently President of the Livingston Referral Network, Tim enjoys networking to build relationships and get the pulse of what’s happening in the community. Participating in both Leadership Ann Arbor (2005) and Leadership Livingston has allowed him to develop relationships with local community leaders from two of the fastest growing counties in Michigan.

Tim is a 1986 graduate of Wayne State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in finance.
