Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Jake Haas earned his Bachelor of architecture and design degree from the University of Michigan in 1971. He is the owner/operator of Airport Plaza Industrial Park, a 37-building multi-tenant business facility. He is also owner/operator of Saline Construction Company and has been involved in a number of small business start-ups.
I am a staunch supporter of the free enterprise system and believe that the strength of this country’s economy is greatly impacted by the success or failure of small businesses. We, as a community bank, can positively affect the success of these businesses by providing the guidance and support they need to thrive.
Jake spent 25 years as a Director of Ann Arbor Machine Company. He has served on the Dexter School Board, Greenhills School Board of Trustees and was a founding member of the South and West Washtenaw Consortium student building program. He is also a former member of Washtenaw Development Council and a financial supporter of a variety of local charitable organizations and efforts.
Jake currently serves as President of Forest Hills Cemetery and is a member of the TRI (Therapeutic Riding, Inc.) Board of Directors as well as the HVA Finance Committee.
