The banking industry is changing dramatically due to the tremendous advances in technology which allow immediate access to data and money movement as well as newly designed products that may or may not best serve the needs of the general public. Government regulation still lags behind industry enhancements and has created a turbulent environment for bankers and consumers. Unfortunately many banks are forgetting that it is their clients and shareholders— not technology and unrealistic profits — that their mission statements proclaim to serve. We, as a community bank, are driven to serve our clients, driven to provide a full array of services including access to the best consumer technology, and driven to provide access to fair and straightforward lending that will assist in growing and sustaining our community.

Among his many commitments to the community, Mr. Schork was a Director of the Ann Arbor Book Festival (2007 – 2016); was a long time Trustee and Past President/Chairman of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival (1996 – 2011); is a Past President and Long time Board member of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor (1988 – present); is a Past Trustee and Past Vice President of the Marnee and John Devine Foundation (1999 – 2009); is a Trustee of the Ray and Eleanor Cross Foundation (2001 – present);was Trustee, and past President of the Corner Health Center in Ypsilanti (2009 - 2016); is an Ann Arbor YMCA Board Member (2015 - present); Strong Kids Campaigner (2007,2008,2011,2012,2015 to present) and Member of the Huron River Watershed Finance Committee (2013 - Present); he also has assisted the Washtenaw United Way as a campaign solicitor and company leader( 1982 to present);
